Rear and side extension in Sutton, Grove Road.
Including a loft conversion, full house refurbishment, landscaping design and new driveway
Our clients in Grove Road, Sutton, wanted to create more space for their family as their older children were now teenagers and needed more space and privacy. They wanted a large communal area to gather in as a family with space to entertain when their extended family and friends visited. They felt their garden was disconnected from the rest of the house and rarely used as it was on such a steep slope that they had to use steps to walk down to the grass area. Happy Building provided solutions to all their needs! We created a split level dining / living area with a sunken open planning living room with bifold doors opening on to a large patio area. We built up the outside level across the whole width of the extension, reusing some of the demolition rubble, to create a large balcony style patio area with steps down to the main garden. This meant our clients could open their bifold doors and create a large area for entertaining in the summer months and enjoy unobstructed views during the winter. Adding a loft conversion meant that the eldest child could have much needed space and privacy. The rest of the house was fully refurbished from top to bottom with new electrics, bathrooms, flooring, internal doors and re-decoration. This meant that all the existing rooms were updated and worked in harmony with the new build areas. We also designed and constructed an impressive driveway, installed a perimeter wall with iron railings and pathway leading to a beautiful made to measure Victorian style front door.
